Baseline Assessments

The SAM Baseline engagement includes data gathering of a client’s Microsoft software installations, (should existing reports not be available additional services may be added to carry out the inventory collection) and analysis of the customer’s Microsoft license entitlement to create the Microsoft Baseline and Effective License Position.

Analysis of the client’s data is based on data provided by the Customer and verified by the Partner. The SAM Baseline must be reviewed and agreed upon with Customer as an accurate point-in-time reflection of the Customer’s current license position.
The partner will then provide a finalised SAM Baseline Report providing an executive overview and details such as findings and recommendations, along with an effective License position report.

SAM Deployment Planning

SAM Deployment planning will provide the customer with a Proof-of-Concept for the chosen Microsoft tool (e.g SCCM), as well as a SAM Improvement Plan that focuses on advancing their SAM maturity in the Hardware and Software Inventory key competency area through process design, business case analysis, and adoption planning.

Upon completion of the engagement an Executive Overview presentation will provide the client with a high-level overview of the engagement and findings with an emphasis on the risks and benefits of current and future state as well as the business case to initiate improvements to SAM which have been identified

There are no scalability or architectural issues for the customer to consider, and product upgrades are managed by Flexera Software.

FlexNet Manager Suite On-Demand’s software asset management and Software License Optimization functionality includes:
